In regard to comments by the Minister published in the
West Australian
newspaper on 27 March 2006 regarding the business of LotteryWest, I ask -
(1) Does the Minister support the supply of any gambling product and/or service via mobile phone technology?
(2) Does the Minister support the supply of any gambling product and/or service via the internet?
(3) Would the Minister support the supply of any lottery-styled gambling product and/or service (including Keno) being made available to Western Australian adults outside the Burswood Casino and not provided by LotteryWest?

(3) The Gaming and Wagering Commission Act 1987 prohibits the provision of lottery-styled gambling products other than by the Lotteries Commission of Western Australia (trading as Lotterywest) or raffles and the like offered by charities for fund raising purposes. The Casino (Burswood Island) Agreement Act 1985 limits the playing of Keno to Burswood Casino
