secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer to the legal advice the
government has received on the impact of the High Court legal proceedings on
the Roe 8 contract.
(1) Did the legal
advice contain information about termination payments that may be required
should a High Court challenge be successful?
(2) If yes to (1), what was that
advice and what was the expected liability of the state?
(3) If no to (1),
did the advice raise any concerns or potential risks regarding signing a contract
with legal proceedings underway?
