CHILDHOOD EDUCATION — DELOITTE ACCESS ECONOMICS REPORT
1375. Hon DONNA FARAGHER to the minister representing the Minister for
Early Childhood Education:
I refer to the
answer provided to question without notice 1342 asked yesterday regarding the
WA government's examination of options to enhance non-compulsory early
learning in WA.
Will the minister —
(a) list the
stakeholders consulted as part of this examination of options; and
(b) advise the form
and extent of consultation undertaken?

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question. The following response has
been provided by the Minister for Early Childhood Education.
(a)–(b)
As advised in question without notice 1342, the work being undertaken is
cabinet-in�confidence. The Minister for Early Childhood Education along with
the Department of Communities, the Department of Education and the Department of Premier and Cabinet meets regularly with
stakeholders within her portfolio responsibility, including industry
representative groups and early childhood education and care providers.
