I thank the member for some notice of this question. In January I launched Parenting WA, which was formerly known as the Parent Health Centre in Mt Lawley. This service is for parents looking for support and information about parenting, child care and early childhood programs from a single, reliable and credible source. The telephone service providing information and advice on caring for children up to the age of 18 years is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The free-call parenting line assists parents of children aged zero to 18 years with queries about child development, behaviour management, school matters, health issues and family relationships. The Parenting WA line is a virtual one-stop shop for families or agencies seeking information or support for parenting, child care and early-years activities in Western Australia. Publications and brochures are sourced by the Parenting WA line to distribute to callers, other agencies and professionals. People in regional areas can ring a toll-free telephone line to talk to parenting consultants. Library books and DVDs can be sent to them free of charge, and this includes a package to return the resources free of charge. It is a great service and a great initiative for parents throughout the vast state of Western Australia.
