LINE PROGRAM
461. Hon LYNN MacLAREN to the
Minister for Fisheries:
(1) Can the
minister confirm that under the conditions of exemption 2375, drum line
operator Graeme Pateman was required to submit to the Western Australia
Department of Fisheries a copy of his log sheet for each calendar month
including details of his vessel patrol times and location, baiting times, times
drum lines were checked, species caught, condition, and for species listed as
dangerous the measurements and sex, by no later than the fifteenth of the
following month?
(2) Was a copy
of Mr Pateman's log sheet for the March calendar month submitted to the
Department of Fisheries by 15 April?
(3) If not to
(2), what are the legal implications?
(4) Will the
minister table a copy of the March log sheet?
(5) If not to
(4), why not?

question.

The south west contractor provided weekly reports on catch which included
species, size, sex and condition of catch, bait used, patrol hours, water
conditions, location of drum lines, maintenance of drum lines and so on. These
reports are not for release.
