840. Hon DIANE EVERS to the minister representing the
Minister for Forestry:
(1) Is any of the timber cleared from areas mined by
Alcoa in the south west forests included in the Forest Product Commission's existing contracts with timber mills?
(2) If yes, what was the quantity in
tonnes derived from this source in each of the past three years?

The Minister for Forestry has provided the following answer.
(1) Yes.
(2) The quantity
in 2016–17 was 60 576 tonnes; in 2017–18, 82 553 tonnes; and in
2018–19, 80 408 tonnes.
