thank the member for some notice of the question. The following answer has been
provided by the Attorney General.
The commission is constrained from
disclosing information acquired in performing its functions due to the secrecy
provisions in section 152(2) of the Corruption, Crime and Misconduct Act 2003.
There are some exceptions to this prohibition, as stated in section 152(4) of
that act. The commission is unable to comment on ongoing operational matters
that are the subject of investigation or review. Any decision on whether to
publicly report on such a matter rests with the commissioner at the conclusion
of the review.
