I refer to the closure of Balga Medical Centre located at 91 Princess
Road, Balga.

(2) Are there plans
for an upgraded general practitioner service in Balga?
(3) If yes to (2)
when is this likely to occur?
(4) If no (2), why
not?

I thank the member for some notice of her question.
(1) The North Metropolitan Health Service
provides a range of health services to people north of the river. Information
about the North Metropolitan Health Service can be found on the website
http://www.nmahs.health.wa.gov.au/Services/index.html. If the member does not
wish to go on to that website and find it, I am happy to get that additional
information for her. However, the reason that I allowed this question to go
through is because the member is not asking about the North Metropolitan Health
Service.
(2)–(4) The North Metropolitan Health
Service has no direct responsibility for the Balga general practice service, as
mentioned in this question.
