DISABILITY SERVICES COMMISSION — DISABILITY
ACCESS AND INCLUSION PLANS
1022. Hon ALANNA CLOHESY to the Minister
for Disability Services:
I refer to question without notice
845 and specifically the disability access and inclusion plans that were
identified as still not lodged with the Disability Services Commission by 31 July
2015. For the local governments identified as outstanding in the lodgement of
their disability access and inclusion plans, what action is the commission
taking to assist them to lodge their DAIPs?

I thank the member for some notice
of the question.
The Disability Services Commission
employs access officers to assist state and local government to fulfil their
obligations as they relate to disability access and inclusion plans. Telephone
and email contact has occurred with each state and local government agency
reminding them of their obligations and making an offer of assistance to the
local government disability access and inclusion officer or the relevant
government officer. General information for them on compliance requirements and
how to complete a disability access and inclusion plan is on the commissionXXX ###XXXs website.
