(2) Of these applications received, -
(a) how many received first round offers to study in semester two, and how many consequently took up those offers;
(b) how many were referred to other State Training Providers and consequently received an offer and of those, how many took up those offers;
(c) how many received offers of alternative State Training Provider courses, not including bridging and entry courses, and how many consequently took up those offers;
(d) how many received offers of bridging or entry courses at a State Training Provider and how many consequently took up those offers;
(e) how many, at the conclusion of the admissions process, remained unplaced and of those, how many were referred to other Registered Training Organisations; and
(f) how many of these applicants for semester two places had previously and unsuccessfully applied for places for a place for Semester One of 2010?

(1) 8,185 applications were received; of those 472 subsequently withdrew their applications, leaving a total of 7,713.
(2) (a) 6,626 received an offer of a place and 5,338 took up their offer.
(b) Referral details are not collected.
(c) 261 offers were made of which 176 were accepted.
(d) Offers for such courses are not made; students enrol directly at the institute of their choice.
(e) 86% of applicants received offers from the admissions centre. At the conclusion of the process the remaining 14% had been followed up by the institute selected as their first preference for alternative study options. Applicants were not referred to other Registered Training Organisations.
