Keystart—Hon Sue Ellery
858. Hon Simon Ehrenfeld to the parliamentary
secretary representing the Treasurer:
Regarding
the appointment of the former Leader of the House, Hon Sue Ellery, as a non-executive
director to the Keystart board, announced on 16 June 2025 and for which WAtoday reported an annual
remuneration of up to $60,278, I ask the following.
(1) Is Ms Ellery currently
receiving any form of remuneration or payment associated with her position as a
non-executive director of the Keystart board?
(2) If Ms Ellery is not being
remunerated or is acting in a voluntary capacity, why has she been appointed
during the six-month ban period?
(3) What legitimate purpose is
served by placing Ms Ellery on this board during the post-Parliament ban, which
has already been reduced to six months by this government?
