The draft town site expansion plan has benefited from stakeholder workshops, facilitated by the Department of Planning and Infrastructure. “Fitzroy Futures” is also being prepared in conjunction with the work undertaken by the Minister for Housing and Works, in preparing “Community Layout Plans” for the Junuwa, Darngunaya, Bungardi and Kunangki communities. (2) When the outcomes of these “Community Layout Plans” have been incorporated into the draft “Fitzroy Futures” townsite plan, Fitzroy Futures will undergo a broader community consultation process before it is considered for final approval by the Minister for Planning and Infrastructure.
