I refer the Minister to
Public Transport Authority bus route 464 in my electorate and ask: (a) On what date did
Transperth add the deviations to include Belridge Secondary College; (b) On what date did Transperth commence the deviations to
include Belridge Secondary College; (c) Since the date of the commencement of this deviation, what has been the total number of boardings; (d) Since the date of the commencement of this deviation,
what has been the average weekly boardings; (e) Prior to the commencement of this deviation, did
Transperth notify Belridge Secondary College about this deviation; (f) Prior to the commencement of this deviation, did
Transperth notify local residents about this deviation; (g) If yes to questions e and f, how was this
notification communicated; and (h) If no to questions e and f, does Transperth have
procedures in place to notify relevant stakeholders, including Members of
Parliament, regarding changes to a bus route?

(a) The new timetable came into effect on Sunday 7 October 2018.
(b) Monday 8 October 2018
(c) Total number of boardings at the School for deviating Route 464 services is 1,736.
(d) Average number of weekly boardings – 108 passengers.
(e)-(h) The local operator (Transdev) either visited schools to issue passenger bulletins or made contact via phone. Transperth also conducts broader community notification with the changes advertised on board services, on the Transperth website and via emailed Travel Alerts to registered subscribers. Passengers can register for e-mail notifications of any changes to bus or train services in their electorate via the Travel Alerts function.
