PUBLIC TRANSPORT AUTHORITY — BUS FLEET AUDITS
(1) Does the Public Transport Authority conduct any audit or inspection of the bus fleets used to provide regional town bus services in Albany, Bunbury, Geraldton, Kalgoorlie or Karratha? (2) If yes, how many audits or inspections have been conducted since 1 July 2010? (3) Did any of these audits or inspections identify any problems with a bus that may impact on its safe operation? (4) If yes, what statistics are kept on problems identified during audits or inspections, and can the minister table a copy of these statistics? (1) The PTA conducts annual maintenance audits on all regional town buses owned by the PTA in Albany, Bunbury, Geraldton, Kalgoorlie and Karratha. (2) One formal maintenance audit was conducted on PTA­owned buses on 1 July 2010. The PTA conducted a formal maintenance audit on the remainder of PTA­owned buses in June 2010. One contract management audit has been performed since 1 July 2010 by the PTA on each of the regional town bus services contractors. (3) No. (4) Not applicable. (5) No. (6) Not applicable.
