do. The answer will be in the question that I will ask as a supplementary, if I
may, Mr Speaker. Does the minister not think the community will be cynical when
his so-called independent inquirer is in fact Mr Danny Cloghan, who was the
former chief of staff to Hon Jim McGinty, who is the new chair of the board of
the North Metropolitan Health Service and who was the Minister for Health at
the time those corruption and fraud concerns were reported to have existed and
who was the minister's former employer?

I have never worked for Danny
Cloghan. The issues that the Corruption and Crime Commission was investigating
took place under the member for Churchlands' government. The government
has appointed the Public Sector Commissioner to undertake an investigation.
Dr M.D. Nahan : A cover-up.
Mr R.H. COOK : Now we have the
Leader of the Opposition saying that the Public Sector Commissioner is a conspirator
in a cover-up. The opposition does not get much lower than that really, does
it?
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER : Order, members!
Mr R.H. COOK : We will leave
no stone unturned to work out how the oversight of the government department in
which these actions took place is brought to account. All these issues took
place under the previous government's watch. My job, as with all the
other things, whether it is Perth Children's Hospital, the hospital car
park or the finances, is to clean up the mess that members opposite left.
