Australian fuel security.(1) Does Western Australia have strategic diesel

Hon Stephen Dawson replied:I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question.(1)–(3) The Commonwealth Government
monitors the status of fuel supply in all states and territories across
Australia and is responsible for domestic fuel reserves, including in Western
Australia, under the Commonwealth'sFuel Security
Act 2021. This includes minimum stockholding obligations on industry for
diesel, petrol and jet fuel. In the event of a fuel disruption, the WA government
response would be guided by theEnergy Supply
Disruption State Hazard Plan.
