It should be noted that the costs for the AvonLink and MerredinLink services are combined for questions 1 to 3 parts (c) and (d) as the railcars are shared amongst these two rail services.
(1) The figures provided are for the 2014-15 financial year which includes the average total cost followed by the Government subsidy per passenger (respectively):
(a) Prospector: $200.68 and $153.75.
(b) Australind: $86.72 and $67.28.
(c)-(d) AvonLink and MerredinLink: $148.06 and $137.46.
(2) The figures provided are for the 2014-15 financial year which includes the average total cost followed by the Government subsidy per kilometre (respectively):
(a) Prospector: $39.77 and $30.47.
(b) Australind: $37.13 and $28.81.
