I thank the honourable member for
notice of the question. The answer is current as of Tuesday, 14 August, when
notice was given.
(1) It is relevant
to note that agents and sales representatives have the full calendar year to
complete the required 10 compulsory professional development points. As at 30
June 2012 —
(a) 14 per cent
of licensed real estate agents and 11 per cent of registered real estate sales
representatives had completed their total CPD requirements;
(b) 348 licensed
real estate agents and 893 registered real estate sales representatives had
completed their total CPD requirements;
(c) the list of
training organisations providing CPD activities for the real estate industry is
extensive, and the percentage of training provided by each trainer is difficult
to determine within the time available.
(2)–(3) This
detailed information could not be ascertained in the time available. I ask the
honourable member to place this part of the question on notice.
