announcement that water licence fees for mining and public water supply will
increase from July 2018.
(1) How many users in total will be impacted
by these fee increase?
(2) Can the minister provide a sector
breakdown of those users?
(3) Can the minister provide a regional
breakdown of where those users are located?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. On behalf of the Minister for Regional Development
representing the Minister for Water, I provide the following information.
I can provide data for the public
water supply sector but I ask the member to put the question regarding the
mining sector on notice as I cannot provide the information in the time
available.
(1) For the public water supply
sector, it is seven users.
(2)–(3) The
breakdowns are: Water Corporation, statewide; Bunbury Water Corporation,
Aqwest, south west; Busselton Water Corporation, south west; Hamersley Iron Pty
Ltd, north west region; Aquasol Pty Ltd, Swan Avon; Claymont Development Pty
Ltd, Swan Avon; and Iluka Resources Ltd, Swan Avon.
