I refer to this Government's announcement and intention to close remote Aboriginal Communities, and ask: (a) when will a list of Communities, proposed by the Government to be closed, be provided to myself, Broome Shire, Derby Shire, Halls Creek Shire and Wyndham Shire; and (b) when will the Communities, proposed by the Government to be closed, be notified that their community will be closed by the Government and what, if any: (i) will the timeframe be for Community members to vacate the Community; (ii) assistance will be given to Community members to vacate the Community; (iii) will assistance be given in locating alternate accommodation; and (iv) options in regards to owning infrastructure established on communities be given to Native Title members and/or Aboriginal Corporations?

(a) - (b) No decision has been made about future funding or services for any particular remote Aboriginal community. Any changes which ultimately occur will be carefully managed and involve close consultation with local communities.
