I just answered that question. There is no haemorrhage of
cash; this is a major project. I remind members opposite of their budget for
Fiona Stanley Hospital when Labor was in government. It started at $400-something
million, then it went to —

Dr K.D. HAMES : I
criticised the then Minister for Health when he put up $400 million for a
643-bed hospital. I said that that was nowhere near enough and that it would
cost a lot more than that, and so it did; the next time it went up to $800 million.
I can see why poor old Eric Ripper did not have much hair left by the end,
because McGinty kept going back and asking for more money, over and over again.
It started at $400-something million and finished at $1.7 billion. Did the
Labor Party have a $1.2 billion blowout? Is that what happened? It was a $1.2 billion
blowout on Fiona Stanley Hospital for the Labor government, and members
opposite are complaining that I have a $300 million blowout, which is not even
true.
