DEC is aiming to appoint 26 new permanent fire management officers by December 2012 and for subsequent years.
The response to question 15(b) referred to the extension of the seasonal employment contracts of approximately 60 existing conservation employee positions. This will occur for the 2012/13 southern fire season and is funded for subsequent years.
