670. Hon JAMES HAYWARD to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Fisheries:
I refer to community consultation
performed by the minister.
(1) Is it
standard practice to require participants in community consultation meetings to
sign non-disclosure agreements?
(2) If no to (1),
why were community consultation participants from the charter fishing sector
required to sign a non-disclosure agreement?
(3) Will the minister table a copy of the
non-disclosure agreement that the charter fishing sector was p resented
with prior to engaging with the minister with regards to the changes to
demersal fishing?
(4) If no to (3), why not?

thank the member for some notice of the question. The following answer has been
provided by the Minister for Fisheries.
(1) No.
(2) Consistent
with standard practice, charter sector participants in community consultation
meetings undertaken by the Department of
Primary Industries and Regional Development relating to the management of demersal scalefish in the west coast region were not required to sign a non-disclosure
agreement.
(3) Not applicable.
(4) Not applicable.
