I refer to the December 2019 announcement, from the Premier and the Minister for Transport, of a $1.6 billion contract to Alstom for the delivery and maintenance of 41 C-series trains consisting of 246 railcars, and I ask: (a) noting that the first C-series trains were supposed to be ready to use on the network in 2022, what was the reason for the delay with the actual 2024 launch; and (b) what is the delivery status of the Australind railcars, expected to be ready in 2022-23?
