(1) Since the implementation of Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) Policy DC 2.4 in October, 1998, WAPC has adopted the following as a general guide for the desirable size of school sites:
- Primary school (Kindergarten – Year 6) – 4 hectares (ha) or 3.5ha if the school site has shared abutting public open space; and
- Secondary school (Years 7 – 12) – 10ha.
(2) Land sizes of existing schools in the electorate of Bassendean are as follows:
