787. Hon LYNN MacLAREN to the
minister representing the Minister for Forestry:
I ask about Mowen forest near Margaret River, which is on the
Forest Products Commission's logging list for 2014.
(1) By product
and species, what volume of wood does the FPC anticipate generating from the
planned logging of —
(a) Mowen 1; and
(b) Mowen 2?
(2) What was —
(a) the cost of new roads; and
(b) the cost of upgrades to
existing roads and tracks for —
(i) Mowen 1; and
(ii) Mowen 2?
(3) What was the total cost for construction of log landings?
(4) When was the most recent dieback survey done in —
(a) Mowen 1; and
(b) Mowen 2?
(5) Will
another dieback survey need to be done before logging can commence in Mowen 1,
and recommence in Mowen 2?
