The Cook Labor Government is delivering a record $5.5 billion health infrastructure program, which includes a major redevelopment of the Emergency Department at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.
Prior to the commencement of these works there were 49 treatment beds, bays or areas within the Emergency Department.
Upon completion of the redevelopment, there will be 56 treatment beds, bays or areas.
Total treatment beds, bays or areas may vary on occasion. This is for a range of reasons, including spikes in demand, infection control or maintenance.
