(1) How many staff are allocated in the 2010-11 budget to the Office of the Appeals Convenor? (2) How many appeals is the Office of the Appeals Convenor currently dealing with in relation to environmental impact assessments; licensing and works approvals; clearing of native vegetation; compliance notices; and vehicle emission notices? I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1) The Office of the Appeals Convenor is currently allocated 5.6 staff in the 2010–11 budget. (2) The Office of the Appeals Convenor is currently actively dealing with 54 appeals against 16 proposals in relation to environmental impact assessments; 17 appeals against eight proposals in relation to licensing and works approvals; 14 appeals against 13 proposals in relation to the clearing of native vegetation; one appeal against one proposal in relation to compliance notices; and nil appeals in relation to vehicle emissions notices.
