With regard to the Annual Report of the Marine Parks and Reserves Authority for June 30 2000 which discusses the establishment of marine reserves and states “The difficulty is partly due to the limited resources that can be directed to the planning and consultation programs. The Marine Parks and Reserves Authority is most anxious that the Government now provides sufficient funds to allow the effective implementation of management strategies that the indicative management plans recommend” -
(1) Will the Minister ensure that sufficient funds are available to implement these management strategies?
(2) What funds are allocated for 2000-01 for the implementation of the Management Plans for the following marine reserves -
(a) Ningaloo Marine Park;
(b) Shark Bay Marine Park;
(c) Jurien Marine Park;
(d) Shoalwater Island Marine Park;
(e) Marmion Marine Park;
(f) Swan Estuary Marine Park; and
(g) Rowley Shoals Marine Park?
