Provisions in the Public Sector Management (Redeployment and Redundancy) Regulations 1994 impose re-engagement restrictions on public sector employees accepting severance. Employees who have accepted severance are restricted from being re-employed in or consulting directly to the public sector for a period of time equal to the period of time used in the calculation of their severance payment. (3) Not applicable. (4) - (6) The re-engagement restrictions to which employees accepting voluntary severance are subject, are set out in the Deed of Severance which they are required to sign. Observance of the conditions of the Deed of Severance is the responsibility of the severed employee and any Government agency seeking to re-engage the person.
