AUSTRALIAN MEDICAL
ASSOCIATION OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA —PUBLIC HOSPITAL REPORT CARD
844. Mr
Z.R.F. KIRKUP to the Premier:
I have a supplementary question.
Given that this is the AMA's criticism of the government's
handling of the health system, what is the government doing to address the
systemic failure in the culture and morale of our junior doctors across our
health system, particularly if they need to respond to any second COVID-19
outbreak?

AnswerView source ↗

The feedback that we have had and
the surveys we do indicate that our workforce understands the difficult
situation the state faces in a COVID environment. Western Australia has done as
well as or better than any country in the world. I would like to thank our
health workforce—our doctors, nurses and everyone else who works in the
health system—for all their work over this very difficult period. I urge
members of the Liberal Party and others to stop the scaremongering.
