(1) John Clark has been seconded to the Department of Health from the United Kingdom National Health Service for a period of 18 months on a part-time basis to June 2008. (2) John Clark’s role is to establish the Institute for Healthy Leadership and to direct the activities of the Western Australian Institute for Healthy Leadership, ensuring that they align with the objectives of the healthy leadership strategic framework. The healthy leadership strategic framework includes specific strategies to address the building of leadership capacity and capability throughout the organisation as part of the health reform program. This will be achieved through a collaborative relationship with the NHS for the mutual benefit of both health systems. (3) The total remuneration package for John Clark is $254 851, of which his salary is $170 731, calculated on the exchange rate at the time of the agreement on 22 May 2007. The remainder is made up of airfares, accommodation and work-related expenses.
