I refer to the Cobra Station pastoral lease in the Gascoigne region and ask: (a) who is the current holder of the lease for Cobra Station; (b) are there any subleases associated with Cobra Station; and (c) is the historic Bangemall building part of the Cobra Station Pastoral lease: (i) under what arrangement, lease or contract is Bangemall occupied; (ii) who is the current occupier of Bangemall; (iii) when does the lease next come up for renewal; (iv) will it be possible for interested members of the public to bid to have the Bangemall lease; (v) how could someone become eligible to hold the Bangemall lease; and (vi) how long has the current holder of the Bangemall lease held it for?

(a) There is no lease holder. The pastoral lease was surrendered in 2000, the land is now unallocated crown land and is managed by Department of Parks and Wildlife pursuant to a management agreement with the Department of Lands.
(b) No.
(c) The historic Bangemall building is within the area of the former pastoral lease, now described as portion of Lot 38 on Deposited Plan 221065.
(i) There is an Occupancy Agreement between Parks and Wildlife and Mr Jim Millar.
(ii) The current Occupancy Agreement commenced in 2014 and provides for Mr Millar to occupy the building for non-commercial purposes. Prior to that Mr Millar operated a business under an agreement pursuant to section 35 of the Conservation and Land Management Act 1984 that allowed him to use the facilities and buildings to operate a business.
(iii) The Occupancy Agreement expires on 22 September 2016.
(iv) Anybody may contact Parks and Wildlife to present a proposal but a lease is not available due to the tenure of the land. They could enter into an agreement for the use of the facilities there pursuant to section 35 of the Conservation and Land Management Act 1984.
(v) A lease is not available due to the land tenure, however interested parties could provide a proposal to Parks and Wildlife to operate the facilities as a business.
(vi) There has been no lease. The current occupant has been there pursuant to agreements with Parks and Wildlife since 2004.
