The Department of Education advises that as at 8 May 2025:
Public school education assistants (EA) can hold more than one type of employment with the Department of Education at any one time and work across both primary and secondary settings. This means that an individual EA may be counted in more than one contract type, as well as in both primary and secondary. As such, the sum of the breakdowns and percentages may exceed the total distinct count and 100%. Data is provided by headcount.
