(1) No. (2) No. However, a water licence from the Water and Rivers Commission (Department of Environment) is required if more than 1,500 kL of water is to be taken from proclaimed groundwater or surface water areas. (3) Not applicable. (4) There are restrictions on the use of sprinklers between 9 am and 6 pm for non commercial crops such as domestic gardens. No restrictions apply to commercial crops such as market gardens. (5) Exemptions to the sprinkler restriction for non-commercial crops are limited to circumstances such as special sporting events, watering of caravan park bays, dust suppression and treated wastewater disposal.
