(2) Yes. Transperth has considered the option of operating feeder bus services to the ferry, but investigation revealed that the majority of passengers would actually experience an increase in their journey time. Another drawback is that most passengers would have to make a minimum of two transfers in order to complete their journey. This would involve the shuttle bus to the ferry, the ferry across the river and the Blue Cat to Central Perth. In addition, if a passenger's destination is East Perth or West Perth this would require an additional transfer from the Blue Cat to another bus service. For the majority of South Perth/Como residents, the existing bus network provides a one-bus journey. Unlike the train service which operates every 15 minutes during the day, the ferry service only operates every 30 minutes. It would be difficult to justify increasing the ferry frequency to every 15 minutes to improve the connection when the majority of South/Como residents would be disadvantaged in terms of actual total journey time. It is considered that bus priority measures could be employed in South Perth which would be more advantageous in reducing overall bus journey times. (3) Not applicable
