(4) The membership of the Kangaroo Management Advisory Committee (KMAC) is determined by the Minister for Environment. Animal welfare aspects of kangaroo management are addressed through the National Code of Practice for the Humane Shooting of Kangaroos and Wallabies for Commercial Purposes. There is also public consultation on kangaroo management arrangements, including animal welfare, at the time of management plan approval under the Commonwealth
