The Minister Replied:
(1) Condition W6 of the Wandalup Farms DEP Licence, entitled Off-Site Discharge Limits, requires the licensee not to discharge more than 360 kg of total phosphorus per calendar year.
(2) Yes
(3) Not applicable.
(4) The latest six monthly monitoring results (April-September 2000) received by the Department of Environmental Protection from Wandalup Farm on 8 November 2000 show a reduction in phoosphorus load discharging from Wandalup farms into the Gull Road drain. In October 1999 the results indicated a discharge of 10 kgs of phosphorus per day whilst in September 2000, the phosphorus load was measured at 2.3 kgs per day. This indicates a reduction of 77 per cent.
