I refer to the response to Question on Notice 5480, and ask: (a) Why has there been an audit of the $5,000 provided to Curtin University for the 'Radiation Oncology Workforce Collaborative' but not of the $20,000 provided to the Doctors Health Advisory Service WA Inc.; and (b) How much did Curtin University provide for the WA Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards for each year: (i) Why was this not audited since 2017 and why is an audit now taking place?

I am advised:
(a) The $20,000 was provided for the Australasian Doctors Health Conference which took place on 22- 23 November 2019.  Follow up compliance monitoring will be undertaken.
(b) Curtin University provided the following amount for the WA Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards:
- 2017 Bronze Sponsor $6,500 plus GST.
- 2018 Bronze Sponsor $6,500 plus GST.
- 2019 Gold Sponsor $20,000 plus GST.
(i) Event Services and Productions were engaged to coordinate the WA Nursing Midwifery Excellence Awards in 2017, 2018 and 2019. A review of the awards processes was undertaken in 2018. An audit was initiated in 2019 as a different provider has been engaged in preparation for the 2020 awards.
