The table below provides reported cases of suicide, in coronial jurisdictions within WA, for the calendar years of 2011, 2012, 2013 and YTD March 2014. A reported case of suicide is where a death has been reported to the Coroner's Office as a suspected suicide or where a coroner has made a final determination of a finding of suicide. The data shown in brackets shows the number of open cases awaiting a final determination by the coroner.

The numbers in brackets indicate the coronial investigations which are ongoing and a final determination by a coroner has not been made. An initial assessment has been made in relation to the case, which indicates that it is a possible suicide case, however, that assessment may or may not be confirmed by the completion of the coroners' finding. For example:
in the table above there are 260 reported cases of suicide in Perth in 2013, of which 216 are pending a final determination.
