LATE-NIGHT TRAIN SERVICES — PATRONAGE
20. Mr M. McGOWAN to the Minister for Transport:
I ask a supplementary question.
(1) The
minister said that it is a free service; is the minister aware that the 1.00 am
service he is cancelling is not free?
(2) Can the
minister explain whether his claim of the average number of 80 passengers per
train includes empty trains returning to the city after midnight?

(1)–(2)
The advice that I received from the PTA is that those services are free. I am
happy to follow that up and correct it if it is wrong, but that is the advice
that I have received from the PTA.
