MINISTER FOR HEALTH —
FOI REQUESTS
448. Hon MARTIN ALDRIDGE to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Health:
I
refer to Legislative Council question on notice 2818 asked on 18 February 2020
seeking the tabling of seven emails and their attachments by 19 March
2020.
(1) Why has the
minister and his parliamentary secretary, on two recent occasions, abused the
provision in standing order 108(2) in seeking such a considerable delay in
answering a simple question?
(2) Given the
documents sought are all documents retained by the minister's office
and will not place any pressure on the Department of Health in providing them
to the Legislative Council, will the minister now comply with the request in
question on notice 2818?
(3) If the
minister, his parliamentary secretary or his office are incapable of printing
and tabling seven emails and their attachments, will he accept my offer to
search his records and print the documents requested by me in the Legislative
Council?
