Regarding The Stables Yanchep, a horse riding/trail riding business, which has been operating in Yanchep since 1989, I ask -
(1) Is the Minister aware that tourism is the second largest industry in Western Australia, second only to the mining and agriculture sector?
(2) Is the Minister aware that The Stables is the only tourist facility offering both camel and horse rides to an international market in Western Australia, and that this facility attracts over 16 000 patrons (including 4 000 from overseas) to the north metropolitan area?
(3) Is the Minister aware that the landowner, Japanese conglomerate Tokyu Corporation, (subsidiary company Yanchep Sun City Pty Ltd) has terminated the lease with The Stables?
(4) Will the Minister assist The Stables to secure coastal land in the north metropolitan region to continue their business?
(5) If yes to (4), how?
(6) If no to (4), why not?
(7) If no to (4), is the Minister aware that the termination of the lease will mean this tourism facility will cease to exist in Western Australia?
