I refer to page 181 of volume 1 of the 2010-11 budget paper No 2, which states that “All urgent and complex clients will be seen within the clinically acceptable timeframe of four weeks.” Can the minister confirm that all urgent and complex clients in the 2010–11 year to date have been seen within four weeks of referral to a child development service? Determination of urgent and complex cases within the priority 1 category is a decision made by the assessing clinician or team. I am advised that all urgent and complex cases within the priority 1 category have an initial assessment within four weeks of referral to a child development service.
