refer to the response provided to question on notice 242 answered on 14 September
2021, which indicates that the last
workforce analysis to determine school health nurse staffing requirements in Western
Australia was undertaken by the Department of Health in 2013.
(1) Does the
department intend to undertake a new workforce analysis to determine school
health nurse staffing requirements needed to meet the current demand; and, if
not, why not?
(2) If yes to (1), when does the
department intend to commence the new workforce analysis?

Child and Adolescent Health Service and the WA Country Health Service continue
to analyse workforce staffing requirements for school health nurses to meet
current and future demand. School health nurse workforce planning is undertaken
in collaboration with the Department of Education.
(2) Analysis and planning is
underway and remains ongoing.
