MITCHELL FREEWAY EXTENSION, ELECTION PROMISE 477. Mrs HODSON-THOMAS to the Minister for Planning and Infrastructure: I refer the minister to the Labor election promise regarding the extension of the Mitchell Freeway to Shenton Avenue by 2005. (1) Why has the Government made so much noise about honouring its so-called contract with the community when the budget papers reveal that not a single dollar has been allocated to this important $28 million project either this year or in the forward estimates? (2) Will the minister confirm that the extension will not be completed by 2005 and that Labor’s contract is not worth the budget paper it is written on? Ms MacTIERNAN
