Emergency Services:
This week marks a
decade since the devastating Esperance bushfires that claimed four lives, and
in 2019 the coroner handed down an inquest report with 12 recommendations.
(1) Of the 12 recommendations, how many has the
Department of Fire and Emergency Services successfully implemented to date?
(2) Which recommendations are outstanding?
(3) When will the community see the draft
consolidated emergency services consultation exposure bill that is currently
being drafted by the department?

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question and provide the following
answer on behalf of the minister representing the Minister for Emergency
Services.
(1) Nine have been completed and two were not
supported.
(2) Recommendation 12 is outstanding.
(3) Once finalised, the exposure draft bill will
be released for public comment.
