I refer the Minister to
the old Padbury Senior High School site, and ask: (a) How many staff are employed to upkeep and maintain the
grounds; (b) Are they part-time or full time employees of the
Department of Education, or subcontractors; (c) If yes to subcontractors, who is the provider of the upkeep works and how many hours a week are they contracted for; and (d) For each of the past three years, what has been the annual
cost of maintaining the grounds?

(a)-(c)
There is one gardener, who is a full-time employee of the Department of Education. In addition, TurfcareWA is contracted to provide mowing services, including aeration and application of wetting agent and fertiliser. The hours vary, but on average for October 2018 to May 2019, Turfcare WA has provided just under 6 hours per month of service.
(d)  The following Financial – year costs include:
2016-17: $87 640
2017-18: $73 093
2018-19: $61 228 (as at 8 May 2019)
