I refer to the Broome Motocross relocation, and I ask: (a) why was the Broome Motocross relocated; (b) when was the Broome Motocross relocated; (c) what is the area of the land used by the development; (d) have bilbies been found on the site prior to clearing; (e) how much has the relocation cost in total; (f) how much of the relocation costs has been paid for by the Government; (g) how many members does the Broome Motocross Club have; (h) how many people use the facility on a typical weekend; (i) how much land has been cleared for the development; (j) what is the value of the land used by the development; and (k) is there a plan for the Speedway to co-locate to the area: (i) if no to (k), is there a plan for the Speedway to be relocated?

(a) Broome Motocross facilities and associated noise emissions were relocated to de-constrain the Broome North Development area to permit future development of more affordable residential land in Broome.
(b) Relocation was completed in August 2020.
(c) 8.42 hectares.
(d) No Bilbies were found on site during an inspection conducted prior to works commencing in accordance with a Bilby Management Plan endorsed by the Commonwealth Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment.
(e) All relocation costs were funded through a voluntary Developer Contribution Scheme between the Shire of Broome and DevelopmentWA.
