I refer to Red Hill Quarry, and ask -
(1) Has the Department assessed the impact of the currently proposed extension of quarrying operations at Red Hill Quarry on Aboriginal heritage?
(2) If yes to (1), -
(a) what process was used for the assessment; and
(b) what was the outcome of the assessment (please table the Department’s findings and recommendations)?
(3) Has the assessment been provided to the Minister for Environment?
(4) If yes to (3), when?
(5) If no to (1), why not?
(6) Has the Department previously carried out similar assessments in respect of quarrying operations at Red Hill Quarry?
(8) If yes to (6), -
(a) when; and
(b) what was the outcome of each assessment (please table the Department’s findings and recommendations)?
(7) Was each assessment provided to the Minister for Environment?
(8) To the best of the Department’s knowledge, has the operator of quarrying operations at Red Hill Quarry complied with all of the Department’s recommendations?
(9) If no to (8), please describe to the best of the Department’s knowledge, -
(a) the recommendation that was not complied with;
(b) the nature of the non-compliance;
(c) any action taken by the Department as a result of the non-compliance;
(d) any rectification subsequently implemented by the quarry operator; and
(e) the time taken between the original allegation of non-compliance and any rectification implemented by the quarry operator?

Aboriginal Heritage Act 1972
has yet been received in relation to the currently proposed extension of the quarry by approximately 80ha and therefore no assessment of impact on Aboriginal heritage has been undertaken to date.
